Step-By-Step Instructions
Reps may ask for a same day pick and delivery. We try to avoid these because the messenger service is costly. If a rep is willing to drive to the warehouse to pick up and deliver to the customer themselves, this is automatically approved due to the absence of a messenger. If Messenger Service is required, it will require Operations Manager Approval. When a request is made, we look to see if a customer nearby the customer that is requested for. If we can borrow to hold them over til next day delivery that is an option. If the mistake was an order board mistake – this needs to be brought to @Untitled , @Untitled or @Untitled’s attention immediately.
If an immediate pick is approved, follow the following steps:
- Order must be in Business Central (check first)
- Customer delinquency status must be checked first. NO immediate picks on COD orders
- If credit status is clear, Order can be entered online on Western Carriers website
- Enter our invoice number, make sure the ship date is “today’s date”, enter the correct address
- In the carrier/comments you must enter “Immediate Pick by Messenger” in the carrier section, you must also enter a contact name and phone number. Do not skip this step
- Enter each item and qty and be mindful when you are entering bottles and or cases
