If you have a microphone that is not registering in Remote Desktop, take the following steps to troubleshoot.

Step-By-Step Instructions
- Before starting your Remote Desktop Session, right click on the icon. Log out if you already have a session in progress
- Select Edit
- When new pop up opens, go from 'General' tab to 'Local Resources' tab
- In 'Local Resources' tab, click on 'Settings'
- Update if necessary 'Remote Audio Playback' = Play on this Computer
- Update 'Remote Audio Recording' = Record from this Computer
- Click 'Ok'
- Before clicking 'Connect', go back to the 'General' tab and click on 'Save' so that your next Remote Desktop Session will continue to have your microphone enabled.
Once you are logged into your Remote Desktop Session and your Microphone is still disabled, check your System Settings.
- Navigate to the Start Button (lower left corner of your Desktop home screen)
- Go to Settings
- Search for Microphone App Permissions
- Navigate to the section that says "Allow Apps to Access your Microphone"
- Toggle it from Off to On
- Navigate to the section below that says "Choose which Microsoft Store Apps can access your Microphone"
- Toggle Microsoft Teams from Off to On
