New RD server is at rd2.tedwardwines.com Attached are connection documents for both servers, with optimal settings – color depth set to 15bits, among other things. When first connecting, you can click on “Don’t ask me again for…” when you get the security warning. Below this screen shot are instructions for home users with Macs.
Mac Instructions
Download the “Windows App” client from the Mac App Store, then use the following steps to configure:
- Open the Windows App application
- Click on Add PC, if showing in the middle of the screen, or click on the plus sign on the top and select Add PC
- For PC Name, enter rd2.tedwardwines.com (or accounting.tedwardwines.com)
- Click into “User account” and add your email address as username, leaving the password blank for security
- For Friendly Name enter TEW Server
- Leave Gateway at No gateway
- Click on Devices & Audio on the top and check off Printers
- Click Add on the bottom right to save settings
- To initiate the connection, double click on your PC Name
- Click Show Certificate when you get a warning
- Check off Always Trust to prevent seeing this warning again for the PC specified
- Click Continue
For best results, set color to “Medium”
